I was reading a book at Barnes and Noble the other day on day trading, I forget who it was written by but they said computer hardware was very important. How far should I look into this?

I do everything on a laptop and I'm not sure if this is good enough

Intel Celeron 1.2ghz
512MB Ram
60GB Hard Drive
14.4" Screen
Windows XP Pro

i think youre good to go except i would also spend some $ for an optical mouse. if youre trading from home, you might want to consider a desktop instead running 2 screens to make things easier if your day trading. if youre swing trading your setup right now is great

Hi NYPeeDe, I'm sure that'll be fine as long as your computer runs your trading platform without the hard drive churning on you.
