Dear Members

I am trading for past 2 years ,I haven't made any good profits only made some losses.
I am planing to learn good and reliable indicators.

I found MACD , RSI ,EMA are the good indicators( I know little bit on how to use this).

Experience people can please suggest some good indicators- that one must know (live without it) or which they you are following for years and found useful.

(Is there any indicator which uses volume)

I want to know only 4 to 6 indicators and expertise it
And whats about ATR ,A/D , ADX are these indicators useful.

Senior members help appreciated

Thanks

I am not a senior member but I have been trading full time for the last 4 months, so I will tell you this. Even having 4 indicators on your board is a lot for some people. Some of the people only use 2-3 max because it gets too confusing, as they all have to act a certain way for it to give you a buy signal.

I used MACD and RSI and Volume to make my conclusion.

I agree with riddicks, try not to go with too many indicators, I have noticed that it can get quite confusing when you start adding 4-5 indicators to your screen. Also, having all those indicators still never guarantees you that you'll make money

I would urge you to keep it simple, Candlesticks, a set of moving averages (I like 10,50,89,200 SMA), Volume with a moving avg if your platform allows, and if you want to add MACD, or RSI, do so when you get comfortable. I like Slow Stochastics, OBV, and ADX D+ D-, but I would wait a while before adding to much so it's effective but not distracting or confusing.

out of curiosity what time intervals are you looking at? i've noticed some indicators work best on shorter time intervals and others work best on longer time intervals.
