Answer our monthly trivia question and win 1 free month in ALL of our premium chatrooms or a $50 coupon good towards your next WSE purchase!

A brief rationale for your answer makes the contest more fun. Your rationale has no effect on a right/wrong answer.

This is actually a 2-part question... what is the common term for when an order is filled BETWEEN the bid/ask? what causes it to happen?

I could research this but I'll take a guess.

It's called splitting the bid/ask. And you usually get filled when someone wants to get out of the market in a hurry.
